You bring up a great point! It highlights the need to define the terms. Someone else messaged me about the need to clarify the difference between science and "scientism". Science in it's simplest sense is perfectly legitimate. The real issue comes when the tool of science is combined with a pure materialist world view. Or, to say the same thing a different way, it is when someone begins to think that science has more power than it really does, that it can answer ALL questions, and that the questions it can't answer are ones that aren't important or non-existent.
I don’t think all believers in science are blinded by it. Some maybe. Although there are also some who are blinded by their non-belief in science.

I mean the process of scientific inquiry. It is a method of investigation into the natural, observable, measurable world.
